As part of the Worldwide introduction of VIS effective 02 November 2015, Indian citizens applying a Schengen visa will have to appear in person in order to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photography). The other procedure remains the same as usual and there is no change in the Visa Fee & the Visa application form etc.
The subsequent application to a Schengen Countries (after the first application effective 02 Nov 2015) for next 5 years, need not appear in person for biometric./ Nevertheless it has to be underlined that in case of reasonable doubt regarding the identity of the applicant, the consulate shall collect again fingerprints within the 5 year period specified above. The Database of all Biometric (photos & finger print) will be store for 5 years only.
How the system will work, will be inform us later. Like we have to submit first and the VFS will give us the appointment or we have to take appointment from their web site
There are certain exemptions as follows:
Children under 12
Persons for whom the collection of fingerprints is physically impossible
Sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family, Heads of State and members of the national Governments (with their official delegations and spouses) if they travel for official purposes.
In this regards, there are very important points that you would need to understand and inform to all your clients as well:-
All visa norms and procedure would remain the same as they are now.
Role of Unicorn Tourism Shall continue providing the visa documentation support, DD making, meet & assist, guidance to the clients appearing for biometric. Applicant just needs to appear personally for biometric and rest all will be taken care of by Unicorn Tourism only.

As per All the Scghengen consulates in Mumbai, henceforth no handwritten passport will be accepted for visa submission.
All the visa application need to submit the Authorization form also along with the visa application while submission, Authorization form given below.
With Immediate Effect Passports which are issued more than 10 years ago, cannot be accepted any more, the pax will have to take a fresh passport.
With immediate effect Orange carpet visa application will be submitted in Netherlands VFS instead of consulate .

One form, 02 colour photographs 35x45mm, white background, 80 percent face image. (Please note that if the photo size is not proper consulate will not accept the application),
Covering letter from Indian company on company letter head in details,

Personal Bank Statement of last 6 months.

The consulate will require birth certificate copy of Kids travelling with Parents Or without Parents while applying the visa application at VFS. The Birth certificate will be accepted only in English Language.

If a PAX is going for more than 30 Days, a Work Permit Clause is required in the Invitation. “THE CLAUSE SHOULD BE AS MR. OR MS. WILL NOT BE ENGAGED IN ANY PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY AS PER WHICH A NETHERLANDS LAW WORK PERMIT IS REQUIRED”
Tourist Visa :
Valid passport for 3 months from the date of return with 02 pages back to back blank
Two colour photos 35mm by 45mm white background 70% of the face should be seen.
Covering letter from pax on company letter head with company round stamp on it.
If working then covering letter on plain letter & Original Leave letter from Indian company.
Confirmed Hotel confirmation as per the air tk
Personal & Company bank statement copy for last 06 months of passenger with stamp & signature in all the pages.
If working Salary Slips for last 3 months
Personal & Company I T papers copy for last 03 yrs of passenger
